A first...

I had never made a photo card, so I thought this would be a perfect time to give it a try. And you know if I am using photos that I'll be using some of Connor. I used pictures taken throughout the year.

How many of you have stacks of crafty magazine? I know I do. As I look through them, I find all kinds of inspiration. However, I then put them away never to look at them again. I have a new rule. When I get a new magazine, I can't put it away until I use at least one idea from it. This has really worked great for me- when I have time, which isn't often lately. My Creating Keepsakes magazine is where I found the inspiration for this card.

This card was so simple to make. It could easily be mass-produced for all your Holiday cards.

This was also my first time making a photo collage- still need a bit of work tweaking that. But you could easily make one and have it printed at your local photo place. I used my slice to make the scallop square for the sentiment. The sentiment was looking a bit lonely, so I added the little snowflake.

Autumn Elegance: amuse bouche

I don't know about you, but this is my absolute favorite time of year. Cooler temperatures, beautiful colors, sweaters and Halloween- what's not to love? A Muse's Stationery release is to die for...just wait until you see all the goodies.

I made a notepad holder (post-it note holder on SCS, but it isn't just any ordinary one. I made my notepad too. Geeta told me about this binding glue for book binding and making notepads. Its so fun to make little notepads.

Sadly I don't think you tell from this picture, but the green damask paper is shimmery. Let me just tell you...you are gonna want one of each color in solid and damask. Did you notice anything else? PEARLS...honestly I have never really been a fan. However, the new A Muse pearls have the best colors ever. Again you are gonna want one of each color. For this realease, we really need an ''I want it all" easy button.

I stamped the maple leaf on each page of the notepad. To give it a more muted color, I stamped off on a scrap page first.

I made this time in less than 5 minutes. I never seem to make cards to have available when needed, soI love these quick cards that I can make in less time than it would take to run to the store. 

A Muse PJ Party~ favorite fall tv show

I don't really watch much tv, but I became hooked on Grey's last season. The new season starts this week and I can't wait~ better get the tissues ready. It doesnt' show up too well in the photo but I lightly stamped the Dr's bag to create a background on the light grey paper.

The second challenge of the night was to make a card using fall colors. Easy peasy lemon squeezy since its my favorite season.  I think I have made a pumpkin latte inspired card every year lately. I was out of coffee ideas, so this is what I came up with.

Pajama Party~ Favorite candy

I do love candy corn. Not only is it cute, but its yummy. I know most people don't like it, but I look forward to it every year. Its one of those treats I only like in small doses and can only eat in October.

2010 A Muse Calendar

I am so excited about this year's A Muse calendar. This year's proceeds will go to Water 1st, an organization that implements community-managed projects that integrate water supply, sanitation adn health education in the poores communities of the world.

I used the 4 bar format to make a calendar that's perfect to throw in your bag.

Oh my it's really been a year since I started this 101 list!?! How is that possible? I really need to get going on this list if I plan to get them all checked. I love to read, but sometimes life gets busy and I don't make the time to read for fun. Over the past year I have read at least one book a month. There was even one month that I read three books. I know this isn't a huge accomplishment, but its nice to get some of the little things checked off my list. I think I need more motivation to tackle some of my bigger goals on the list.

amuse-bouche: Halloween Sweet Tooth

One of my favorite things about Fall is all the yummy treats. Candy corn, pumpkin treats and my favorite caramel apple- though those chocolate caramel apples always trick me into buying them and I am always highly disappointed in my decision. Nothing says Fall like a yummy caramel apple at a carnival.

 

I added glossy accents to the middle apple to make it stand out a little more. I am not a big fan of purple, but this new *blackberry* notecard may just change that. I have seen it in a lot of fall clothing this year too.

amuse-bouche: Vintage Halloween

Seriously what is better than vintage AND Halloween?!?!

 

I am in love with the new Paprika notes and black sheer polka dot ribbon. Martha Stewart glitter and border punch added the perfect finishing touches to this card.

I am having serious typepad issues, so I am keeping this short and sweet ;)
