amuse-bouche:Back to school FOR KIDS

I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am about this release. Back to school is always exciting; especially all the new school supplies. This year Connor starts to school in the PreK program- his school begins next friday. I can't believe he is old enough for school. I am putting together a school package to send him and just had to make something. Julie designed this great treasure chest that I thought I would try.

 

Um did you notice the paper?!?! YES its cardstock that looks like notebook paper. It even has the red line on one side. And there's one more new thing other then the backpack ('packpack' as Connor calls it) and sentiment. Did you see it? ;)

I have created so many things with this release, but can't show them all to you yet. So stay tuned for more and be sure to check all the other Muses' blogs.

#90- check

Last week I took Connor and my dad to the local minor league baseball game. I knew he wouldn't be into sitting for the entire game, but thought it would be fun. They had some of the jumpy things that he got to play in before the game. He actually sat for more of the game than I thought he would~ the ice cream and peanuts helped.

His new thing when he doesn't want me to take his picture- pretend he's asleep. He doesnt' realize that just makes me want to take more photos.

 

 

A Muse PJ party

I was hoping to finish my challenge during the party last night, but that didn't happen. I had a few minutes this afternoon to finish them and get them posted. I have my nephew this weekend and a cold, so I have been pretty busy.

Jennie's challenge was to make a card based on your favorite food or drink.

 

Erika's challenge was to make a card for your girlfriend. I only had a couple minutes to make a card this morning, so I went with the first stamp I saw when I looked on my shelf.

 

And Cheiron's challenge was to make a card based on a movie. I vividly remember watching this movie at a slumber party in Junior High. I am sure it was after we played Ouija board and all those other scary games. I guess I have always loved a good scary movie.

 

Do you know what movie it is? (insert evil cackle) This card just makes me laugh.

Pajama Party- Favorite Game

I always loved the Ouija board, but my friends hated it and never wanted to play with me. I am sure it had nothing to do with the fact that I tried to scare the bejeezuz out of them. I have always loved scary things. So I had to make a Ouija Board card. The diamond glaze kinda messed up the ink, but I still think its a super fun card.

amuse bouche- Elegant Holiday

I am crazy in love with the new Navy paper. I have never really been a fan of navy, but I can't get enough of it now. I had a problem making this card. I didn't have any navy markers or paint to color the ornaments. After going through every space in my craft room, I found Colorbox chalk reinkers. YOU CAN PAINT WITH THEM!! I love finding new ways to use my stuff. I need a new paintbrush firt, but I will definitely try this technique again.

amuse bouche- winter critters

I don't know about you, but squirrels try to take over my yard. It doesn't help that they climb the tree just above where Daisy can reach and taunt her. However, A Muse has created some really cute squirrels.

 

Isn't Squirrel with Gift the cutest little critter ever? I used a Martha border punch to add a little something extra. Hope you are having a wonderful A*MUSE*A*PALOOZA!!

Amuse bouche- A*MUSE*A*PALOOZA

 

I have been wanting to play with Tattered Angel's glimmer mist for a while now. The problem was that I really didn't want to spend the money. At the Scrapbooking Expo, they had a booth and were doing all kinds of projects. I could resist no long and I got a good deal.

I stamped the new Winter Stag with VersaMark and then embossed it with clear embossing powder. I just wiped of the stag after I had sprayed the background- I like how a bit of the glimmer mist shows on the stag. It doesn't really show in the photo, but has  quite a sparkly effect. I think this color of glimmer mist is coffee shop. My brother is into hunting and all those activities that I know nothing about. For an outdoorsy effect, I used the new Woodgrain Paper. Oh my how I love this stuff.

Hello

 

I have been overwhelmed with work and school lately. Sadly, I have had very little time for craftiness. I made this card ages ago, but don't think I have shared it yet. Have I?

Any big plans for the weekend? I am just hoping to get all my work stuff done, so I can have a little time to relax at some point.
